Simon Fraser University has announced the appointment of Marvin Washington as the new Dean of the Beedie School of Business. His term will start 2025, October 1st.

Prior to joining the Beedie School of Business, Dr. Washington served as the College Dean and Vice-Provost for the College of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Alberta. He brings years of university administrative experience and in building a productive and positive culture within faculties and developing strategic interdisciplinary opportunities to advance organizational goals amidst budget challenges. 

Dr. Washington holds a PhD in Organization Behaviour and Sociology, a Master in Organization Behaviour and Sociology, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University. He has taught an assortment of Undergraduate, MBA and PhD courses in strategic management, organizational and institutional change, along with courses in sport management and sport marketing.

BSAC is looking forward to collaborate with Dr. Washington as Dean of the Beedie School of Business.
