The University of New Brunswick has announced the appointment of David Foord as the new Dean of the Faculty of Management. His term will start 2026, July 1st.

Prior to his appointment, Dr. Foord served as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Management. He brings a rich experience in university leadership, connecting academic and industry perspectives, innovation and sustainability, as well as his commitment to student success and academic excellence.

Dr. Foord holds a PhD in interdisciplinary studies - History of Sciences, Technology, Medicine and Innovation - from the University of New Brunswick, a Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Arts in history from Campion College at the University of Regina. He has taught an assortment of courses in innovation, entrepreneurship and business history and focuses his research and publications in the power generation, electric utility, biomedical engineering and carbon licensing industries.
